You want to export data from the Carerix database or back it up. Below are the two free ways to do this, and what's available if you also need attachments (such as CVs).
Excel export
This export can be created by the Carerix administrator by using an export template in the templates library.
For more information about this completely free method: Export data to Excel.
How the data is structured
The Carerix database consists of two parts:
Core data — names, education, matches, and so on. This also includes the name, type, and size of attachments, but not their actual content.
Attachment data — the actual, encrypted content of attachments (for example CVs). On its own this is unusable; to make it meaningful it has to be combined with the core data.
Database dump (PostgreSQL)
This dump is in "pgc" format, which can only be read by PostgreSQL. The processor of this file must have technical knowledge of PostgreSQL. See also: How to open/use the pgc file (database dump).
You can make a request via Support — email your request to support@carerix.com to have a database download set up. This option is free of charge.
Please note: this dump does not include the actual content of attachments (such as CVs) — only the attachment's file name is included.
Need attachments, CSV, or CVs too?
Besides the two free options above, we also offer paid exports arranged by Support for when you need more:
CSV export — data such as candidates and companies in CSV format, which can be opened in, for example, Microsoft Access.
Raw attachment export — an export of the attachment content itself.
CV export — attachment content converted back into usable CV documents (for example DOCX or PDF).
Custom — if none of the above options fits your need, one of our consultants will be happy to work with you to determine the best approach.
For availability and pricing of these options, please contact Support or your Customer Success Manager.
