Create an automation

With the automations from RMA you are able to set up the automations you've always wanted. This feature includes a couple of steps.

Example: When the matchstage is updated to "5.2 placement" AND the Procedure of the Vacancy = "Detachering" Update the candidate in Carerix with status "placed".

In the steps below we explained all steps to configure your automation.

1. Setting up a trigger

Determine which file is your starting point of the automation.

Every file has the options to trigger on:

  • Created

  • Created or updated

  • Updated

  • All date fields available in the file (creationdate, modificationdate, startdate, enddate, birthdate etc.)


When choosing the option "updated" you have the possibility to add a filter. This is to only trigger the automation when a specific field is updated.

EXAMPLE: You want to start an automation when you're candidate is updated to the status "placed"

Candidate - updated - add filter - status = equal to "placed"

2. Adding a next step

By adding a "next step" you can determine what the next step in your workflow will be.

  1. Add = Add something in the Carerix application (Activity or Job Application)
    A new file will be created with desired content.

2. Delay = Delay your workflow to desired point of contact (1 day or 5 weeks)

3. Filter = Filter on fields. Only keep files in your automation with specific values

In this case, the automation only goes forward when the procedure of the vacancy is 'Detachering'. Other files will be filtered out of the workflow.

You can add and/or filters to include or exclude extra data.

Find = Look for a specific file based on ID, email or mobile number

Loop = Look for files connected to your starting point
Every file has its own loop defaults set. From the matchfile you can:

Message = Send a message by Email or WhatsApp

  • Post webhook to another system

  • Send an email to your candidate or contact

  • Send a WhatsApp message (Happy birthday, appointment reminder)

  • Send a WhatsApp Survey (start a conversation and ask pre-defined questions)

Prompt = Add AI to your workflow and use the output in the next step of your automation.

Split = Make multiple filters to create different outcomes in your workflow


Update = Update fields of connected files


Create as many next step as you need to complete your desired journey!

3. Test and activate your automation

In the upper right corner you're able to find the test and activate button.

You can test your automation flow on all files or one specific file/user
